today when we arrived, one of the dogs vomited near the sitting areas outside. The waitress is so kind to bring bin bag and water to clean the ground. We only bought small take away. She dry the table and seats outside. We already paid and didn’t bring cash, I definitely need to bring tips for her next time.

I really enjoyed this bar. It had an actual authentic feel about. I attended as part of a wedding, which took place in the little iconic little church across the water. We had some sandwiches and they tasted like sandwiches of old. Nothing fancy just full of flavour and unprocessed food. The attached cafe does a nice cup of coffee and has a selection of cakes and pastries. There's also an outdoor seating area. And on a summer's day, it's idyllic overlooking the lake and having a quiet pint, with mobile phone coverage very limited (bliss).

Good coffee, nice treats. This particular one was nutty and fatty, not sweet, just as I prefer!! Cute little cafe & the bar actually has Beamish!! Was super excited, unfortunately we were there early am.

Good food and prices and a very welcoming atmosphere, in a magical place. Occasionally, can be a bit crowded. We had a great light lunch after a visit of the park. Free access service and car park

Really good! The scone was outstanding – the best I’ve had in a long time. It was ginger and lemon, perfectly balanced in flavor and freshly baked. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

We were part of a Princess Cruise excursion in 2023, and this was a lovely stop where we had lunch. The meal was simple but heavenly. The hotel would be a beautiful place to come & stay. The lake and the wee church are picture perfect. The countryside is gorgeous, and the stop here was a highlight of our trip to West Cork.
